Beginning today, the last vestiges of Walt Disney World’s COVID-19 response are being rolled back, with masks no longer being required on any Walt Disney World transportation, this includes buses and monorails.
Face coverings are optional for Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations, as well as Disney transportation. It is recommended Guests who are not fully vaccinated continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters and on enclosed transportation.

Masks have been a part of visiting Walt Disney World in some capacity since the parks reopened following the resort-wide shutdown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Back in May 2020, when Disney Springs had announced its reopening, I contacted WDW to ask about exemptions for guests who cannot wear a face covering due to a medical condition or disability.
This was Disney’s response: “Guests who are unable or unwilling to wear face coverings under any circumstances or exemptions are not allowed on Walt Disney World Resort property at this time. If you’re unable to do this, please reschedule your Walt Disney World visit to a later time.”
